Description

VIRALEZE™ forms a physical moisture barrier in the nose, and contains astodrimer sodium, to physically trap and block cold/respiratory viruses, reducing their adhesion, multiplication and spread.

Use VIRALEZE™ in situations where you may be exposed to cold/respiratory viruses, and where nasal passages may become dry and irritated, such as dry climates, indoor heated/air-conditioned environments, hospitals, aged care, public transport and during air travel.

How To Use

One spray into each nostril as required, up to 4 times per day.

Gently blow your nose to clear your nasal passages.
Wash your hands with soap and water and dry them with a clean towel. If soap and water are not available, use hand sanitiser.
Remove the protective cap from the nozzle.
Hold the bottle with your index and middle fingers on each side of the bottle and your thumb on the bottom of the bottle.
If necessary, prime the bottle by spraying VIRALEZE™ one or more times into the air or into a tissue until a fine mist is dispensed. VIRALEZE™ is now ready for use.
Close one nostril by pressing on that side of your nose, and gently insert the nozzle into the other nostril (the tip should be pointing backwards and slightly angled away from the midline of the nose).
Keeping the bottle upright, depress the pump to discharge the spray while gently breathing in through the nose.
Repeat steps 6 and 7 for the other nostril.
Wipe the nozzle with a clean tissue and replace the protective cap after use. Store out of reach of children.

You may experience mild effects such as stuffy nose or a transient tingling sensation in the nose following the application of VIRALEZE™. These effects are expected and are not of concern. If you experience severe discomfort, consult your healthcare provider.

Please note that if you blow your nose after spraying VIRALEZE™, you will need to reapply.

What makes VIRALEZE™ different from other nasal sprays?

VIRALEZE™ contains astodrimer sodium, a patented ingredient proven in laboratory studies to trap and block cold and respiratory viruses. The formulation provides a protective moisture barrier in the nose, helping to reduce viral adhesion, multiplication, and spread, allowing your body’s natural defences to remove the viruses.

How does astodrimer sodium work?

Astodrimer sodium is a large molecule with multiple negative surface charges. These negative charges serve as sites of engagement with positively charged regions of viral spike proteins and other viral attachment proteins. The electrostatic interaction between astodrimer sodium and the viral attachment proteins is strong due to the polyvalent structure of astodrimer sodium, and is not specific, leading to the ability to block a broad spectrum of respiratory viruses.

Can VIRALEZE™ be used alongside other nasal sprays or medications?

To ensure the action of VIRALEZE™ is not affected, we recommend that VIRALEZE™ not be applied immediately before or after other nasal products. If you intend to use VIRALEZE™ with other nasal spray products, we recommend allowing 3-4 hours after applying VIRALEZE™ before applying another product to ensure the barrier function of VIRALEZE™ is not compromised. Consult your healthcare provider for advice if you are using other nasal treatments.

What age group is VIRALEZE™ suitable for?

VIRALEZE™ can be used by adults and children aged 12 years and over.

Are there any known side effects?

VIRALEZE™ can be used before or after being in crowded environments to help reduce viral load in the nasal cavity.

How do I apply VIRALEZE™ correctly?

To use VIRALEZE™, gently blow your nose to clear your nasal passages, wash your hands, and remove the bottle’s protective cap.

If necessary, prime the bottle by spraying VIRALEZE™ one or more times into the air or a tissue until a fine mist is dispensed.

Close one nostril by pressing on that side of your nose, and gently insert the nozzle into the other nostril, pointing it away from the centre of your nose. Press down on the pump to activate the spray while gently breathing in (normal breathing). You don’t need to take a deep breath when applying the nasal spray.

Repeat for the other nostril.

Yes, it is recommended to blow your nose with a tissue before applying VIRALEZE™.

It works!
Love this product. I’ve used in high risk situations when in closed in spaces with shared air and people who have colds and who knows what.
I’ve used (3-4 times per day for a few days) when I’ve felt the very start of a cold coming on, and it’s stopped it in its tracks!

Excellent product
I have bought this since it first came out as am immunocompromised. Since I have used it, despite going to often packed venues with my daughter who plays squash semi pro, shopping malls, restaurants etc . Despite this, I have had not contracted one covid virus or one cold. I did contract flu, but my husband had it and I was sleeping next to him, with him all day at home and to be fair was not using the Viraleze as I would when out and about so wouldnt expect different. I have flu vaccine so just one day of fever and aches, literally less than 24 hours. Since all this started, Most of my friends and family have contracted either covid, colds, flu or all 3 so I recommend this to all of them. As I am at risk from severe complications if contract flu or covid, this product is a total God send. Very easy to use. No interactions as far as I'm aware. Other than a minimal sting that lasts milliseconds when applied, absolutely no side effects. I really could not recommend highly enough. Thank you
